Nossos dinossauros

Embora os primeiros fósseis do nosso território tenham aproximadamente 2,7 bilhões de anos, nossa viagem começa cerca de 70 milhões de anos atrás, conhecendo fósseis de dinossauros. Os dinossauros, como a maior parte dos répteis, incubavam seus ovos em ninhos, e seus restos fossilizados são relativamente frequentes em algumas partes do Uruguai. Os ovos maiores e esféricos são atribuídos a dinossauros herbívoros, e os menores e alongados a espécies carnívoras.

Our dinosaurs

Although the first fossils found in our territory are approximately two thousand seven hundred million years old we begin the journey some 70 million years ago getting to know some dinosaur fossils. Dinosaurs, as most reptiles, incubated their eggs in nests and their fossilized remains are relatively frequent in some parts of Uruguay. The biggest and rounded eggs are attributed to herbivore dinosaurs and the smallest and oval ones to carnivore species.
